Once upon a time there lived a little girl who wore big glasses, had lots of freckles and a gap between her two front teeth. She lived on a cotton farm bordering the silvery banks of the romantic Rio Grande southeast of El Paso, Texas. Basically a bunch of stuff happened and she grew up and got married.

The End.

Hold up. That’s what I thought my life story would be. Predictable. Boring.

God had other plans! My life is a wild ride and anything but boring and predictable! I’m so grateful for an exciting life that keeps getting richer and more intricately involved with other interesting people from all over. This blog is an attempt to share my story with you. I look forward to sharing my adventures/misadventures with you.

I love connecting with people, listening to their stories and learning how to be a blessing in my realm of influence.

Here, I’ll go first:
I did grow up on the border of Texas and Mexico in the El Paso area. My days were filled with school, sports and rodeo. I can’t remember exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I always knew I wanted to be around people. After high school I attended and graduated from Texas A&M University and had an awesome time there. Whoop! After college I moved home and knew I wold die an old maid.

I was wrong. I met and married my husband (who shares the same first name as me) in my tiny town. He whisked me away and I can’t believe that was almost nine years ago! We’ve added three wonderful daughters to the fold and life just grabbed another gear.

My life is full of messes. I’m making peace with it. This season of life finds me working two jobs that I absolutely love because they compliment what we’re focusing on at home. And I get to talk to grown-ups. That’s a big deal these days.

Okay, it’s your turn!
