The Lion and The Lamb

I’m not sure why worship is so special to my heart, but I love it. I’ve loved to sing all my life. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t humming or singing. My family has to tell me to be quiet every now and then because they just need a little quiet. Many kinds of worship music grabs me: Gospel, Contemporary, etc.

At any given time, I might have very different types of songs well up in my heart. I can never tell which song will grab be next. But I really, really want to share one of my current favorites The Lion and The Lamb by Brenton Brown, Brian Johnson and Leeland Mooring.

Why?

One of my favorite lines in this song is, “Who can stop the Lord Almighty.” Such a powerful reminder!

Sometimes I think it can be helpful to list all our cares and concerns down on paper. Then as we look at each “problem” ask ourselves, “Is this big enough to stop the Lord Almighty?”

We may have challenges. We may find ourselves between a rock and a hard place, but NOTHING can stop the Lord Almighty. I am convinced that music is so powerful because it COMMUNICATES. It is like a freeway connecting our hearts to the spiritual. When we declare the truth of God’s Word with our mouth and heart, we are PROPHESYING to our hearts, our homes and our communities. The atmosphere changes.

Pay attention to what messages are being delivered into your heart and home through music. It matters!

I’d love to hear from you.
